During the quarantine, Barack Obama had a house guest joining him and his family! As it turns out, daughter Malia’s boyfriend stayed with them and now he revealed why he let him!
While on the Bill Simmons Podcast, the former president talked about spending time with his college student daughters amid the pandemic.
Furthermore, he was also happy to find out that Malia and Sasha enjoyed the quality time with him as well!
The dad of two shared that ‘It’s a blessing because all the teenage stuff is kind of gone now and they are just back, and love you again and want to spend time with you. And they are funny. Like I think a lot of families, we went through the first month where we were just playing games every night and doing little arts and crafts projects and then they started to get a little bored with us.’
That is when he revealed that Malia’s boyfriend stayed over for some time as well!
‘Maybe teaching Malia and Sasha, and Malia’s boyfriend, who was with us for a while, Spades.’
Bill was curious to know more about Rory Farquharson and the whole situation and Barack was happy to explain how the Harward student ended up crashing over.
‘He is British, wonderful young man. And was sort of stuck because there was a whole visa thing and he had a job set up, so we just took him in. And I did not want to like him but he is a good kid. This isn’t a surprise to you Bill because you have a son, young men eat like, it is weird to watch them consume food. And my grocery bill went up about 30 percent,’ the former POTUS shared, jokingly.
